FAQ
1. Hosting issues
What is Web hosting?
Your site cannot be viewed by Internet users before uploading (publishing), in other words, copying the files of the site (including pages, pictures and so on) from your local workplace to the online server of your hosting services provider. After that anyone will be able to access your website by typing an address of your website, (also called domain name ) into the address bar of the Internet browser. You should therefore establish a hosting account and get a domain name.
How to set up a hosting account?
Hosting account may be established and run for free. In this case the provider's ads may be placed on your website to cover the costs of hosting. There can be other disadvantages. But there are some free website hosts that provide free bannerless hosting under certain conditions, such as www.coolpage.biz
or www.orgfree.com
. After setting up an account you will also receive a name of your website (like www.mysite.coolpage.biz
). This is your domain name or address of your website on the Internet.
Athough free hosting service is suitable for creating your first website, you may find necessary to set up a professional paid hosting. You may also need a second-level domain name (like www.cuzya.com
), which can be purchased from a domain registrator or in a package with hosting.
To upload your website with CuzYa, the support of active FTP is a required feature for both free and paid hosting.
What if I still don't have a hosting account?
Before you have your own hosting set up, CuzYa offers some opportunities to test your website in action not only locally, but also on the Internet. You can upload your website to www.test.cuzya.com
, www.cuzya.orgfree.com
or www.cuzya.coolpage.biz
. Please keep in mind that these hosting accounts are provided for a free common access to any user of CuzYa and are not your property of any kind. To publish your website you should complete following steps:
Step 1: Launch CuzYa and go to Upload tab
Step 2: Specify FTP parameters. By default the following parameters are prefilled
-Web Address: www.test.cuzya.com
-FTP Host: home.cuzya.com -Login: test@cuzya.com -Password: testcuzya
If you have any problems with default test parameters, you can use the following test hosting accounts:
-Web Address: www.cuzya.orgfree.com
-FTP Host: cuzya.orgfree.com -Login: cuzya.orgfree.com -Password: testcuzya
-Web Address: www.cuzya.coolpage.biz
-FTP Host: cuzya.coolpage.biz -Login: cuzya.coolpage.biz -Password: testcuzya
